Podzilla 1985

So this was recorded before Iwata's death which is why we make no mention of it.  Just unfortunate all around.  Expect a small tribute next week, though.

The week starts with the sad news of Nintendo's Satoru Iwata passing away at the age of 55. We talk about the tragedy of his death, plus continued coverage of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, Comic-con, Arianna Grande, Minions' monster opening, and much much more.

Seanán, Double H, and Zach review the week in wrestling and end up in an argument over the recent booking of United States champion John Cena. Plus, Zach reaffirms his love for Melissa McCarthy...for some reason.

Seanán and Double H dive into the controversy over the new Ghostbusters film starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate Mckinnon, and Leslie Jones. From the new uniforms and Ecto-1 to fat shaming and a plea of acceptance to Ghostbuster fans, the boys in gray take on the internet in a drag out fight right into the afterlife. Who ya gonna call?

Tanner is back to ask the question - who really discovered America? Marvel at Seanán's complete ignorance of American history, while Asa and Jesse try to dumb things down for him. Plus, get an early sneak preview of Terrifying Tanner Thursday, as the gang talks about ghost hunting and take opposite sides of the debate on if ghosts exist.

The premier episode of Nerd Up!  For those of you that followed Pentanerd Podcast, this is our debut on the Podzilla 1985 Network with our new name.  This week's episode is hosted by Jesse Kimball and he is joined by Hunter Hendricks, CJ Tatum, and Steven Bright.  We're talking about Arkham Knight, All-New, All-Different, and the new Terminator movie.

Seanán welcomes Blogzilla 1985 writer Lindsey and the cast of Nerd Up (formerly Pentanerd) to talk about the newest revelations in the Cosby rape scandal, Subway's Jared and his child porn investigation, and other celebrity scandals that have rocked Hollywood. Plus, the Nerd Up crew preview their new show on the PZ network, and you'll be shocked to find out which of the PZ85 crew has been involved in nude texting scandals of their own!

Another new show for the Podzilla 1985 Network: The Marvelous Jesse and Chris.  In this show, Jesse Kimball and newcomer Chris Eddleman of Kansas City talk comic books.  The premier episode features an in depth discussion of Marvel's All-New, All-Different relaunch lineup.  If you've been thinking of jumping into the world of comics, this episode should help you get started.

Happy 4th of July! In this special Friday episode before America's birthday, the PWU gang talk about the biggest news of the week and discuss the importance of commentating in wrestling, who the best and worst play by play and color commentators are, and why Mark Madden is foul smelling scum on the bottom of your shoe.

Tonight on the show, Seanán and Tanner are joined by Jesse and Big Johnny, who cover a little bit of everything in the most random TT to date. From gay marriage to Chris Farley, it's in here. Plus - a heaping help of Ghostbusters and kidney stones!
